Doctor Freeman is a rapper, DJ and host who has played a pivotal role in the development of the Tulsa hip-hop scene over the past 10 years. In the early 2010s, he was a member of the Oilhouse collective and was among the first rappers in Tulsa to perform at venues like Soundpony and start to build up the scene. Scott is a member of the influential Tulsa mural/design crew Clean Hands, and with that is also the host and co-founder of Lessons in Fresh, a monthly party that celebrates the 4 elements of hip-hop.

When he’s not DJing or hosting, Scott holds down the bar at one of Tulsa’s best lounges, and is known as one of the city’s top bartenders. Scott’s encyclopedic knowledge of hip-hop both local and national and easy-going bartender conversational style make him the perfect host for the Fire in Little Africa podcast.
