Freddy Fri and Darrell Davis aka Playya 1000 and The Deeksta were born and raised in the heart of North Tulsa, Oklahoma. They are two of the original founding fathers of hip hop in Oklahoma.
They are credited with recording what some say is the best hip hop record to ever come out of Oklahoma. It’s their ode to the good old days of hanging out in North Tulsa at O’brien Park entitled “Sunday Afternoon”. The popularity of this song has stood the test of time and now has been passed on to the modern day generation due to present day radio spins, social media and club play.
The dynamic duo recently performed sold out shows in Yokohama /Tokyo Japan. People from Japan, Germany, Canada, Australia and more have paid over $500 per CD for anything created or produced by the duo. Their mission with their music now is not to necessarily make it in the music industry, but to make a difference to all of the people that come in contact with them and their music. Freddie Fri is also a motivational speaker with thousands of plays on his YouTube channel.
